Nounopinions
FrenchNounopinions f.
From Wiktionary under the GNU Free Documentation License. An opinion is a belief that may or may not be backed up with evidence, but which cannot be proved with that evidence. It is normally a subjective statement and may be the result of an emotion or an interpretation of facts; people may draw opposing opinions from the same facts. EpistemologyIn economics, philosophy, and other social sciences, analysis based on opinion is referred to as normative analysis (what ought to be), as opposed to positive analysis, which is based on scientific observation (what materially is or is experimentally demonstrable). Historically, the distinction of demonstrated knowledge and opinion was articulated by Ancient Greek philosophers. Plato's analogy of the divided line is a well-known illustration of the distinction between knowledge and opinion. Opinions can be persuasive, but only the assertions they are based on can be said to be true or false. From Wikipedia under the

Wow...how generous of you :-) anyway...When the USS Cole was bombed before 9/11, we knew then who was behind the attack. We also knew they were planning something against the USA. So, when 9/11 happened, we had every right to go into Afghanistan and where ever else to get Bin Laden and his terrorists. Our government had intelligent info about all this and THEY knew Bin Laden did NOT conspire with Saddam. I agree Saddam is a very evil man, but invading Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. The Iraq situation is going to turn out worse than Vietnam. Bush was so concerned with plotting against his daddy's enemy (before 9/11, he already had plans to invade Iraq, he just needed a reason to do so) it seems he has forgotten the real reason our… [cont.] Answered by blueeyeskenai - Wed Nov 22 19:04:33 2006 What is the assumption that political attitudes or opinions cluster in the middle of the political spectrum? Q. The assumption that political attitudes or opinions cluster in the middle of the political spectrum is known as: A. the illusion of bimodality. B. the illusion of moderation. C. the illusion of saliency. D. the illusion of central tendency. E. the illusion of stability. I keep going through my book and the only terms it has are illusion of saliency (which has a definition that doesn't seem to fit this question) and illusion of central tendency which it doesn't explain at all. Any help would be much appreciated. Asked by elveneyes400 - Fri Sep 18 00:10:09 2009 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments A. I understand the question, but I'm not sure what answer is correct (ie, the answer you need to be considered correct by your teacher). B, D, and E seem like words that would be correct, and if your book only mentions D, then I would assume that. Answered by unknown - Fri Sep 18 00:15:38 2009 What are you opinions on Hotel 17 in NYC?
Q. I am traveling in New York and planning to stay at Hotel 17 because of our budget. I heard some good and bad reviews about it. The shared bathroom is what worries me but considering our budget, (we are staying for 5 nights) this is the best deal and more reasonable place we can find. Anyone has suggestion or opinions about that hotel? Asked by YinOh - Wed Sep 12 15:21:00 2007 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments A. You know, I bet the shared bathroom won't bother you as much as you think. For one thing, you have a sink in your room at Hotel 17, so you can clean your teeth and wash your face in privacy, at least. That means you'll only be using the bathroom to...well...go to the bathroom (and you presumably use public bathrooms all day, anyway, so there's no big deal there) and take a shower in the morning. And really -- even taking a shower isn't so bad, provided you've got some good flipflops to wear in there and a nice big towel to cover you up on the way to and from the place (you might consider bringing your own -- or even a robe.) I've stayed in tons of places with shared bathrooms, and at first was sure I'd be horrified, but really it's… [cont.] Answered by Holly at Travelocity - Wed Sep 12 15:44:06 2007 From Yahoo Answer Search: "opinions" guest opinion : There's nothing green about Measure A; Vote no
